Terms for a self-custody desk.

Mainnet Desk is Bitcoin-only software for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It lets you create or restore a local portfolio, receive to a native segwit address, prepare and broadcast Bitcoin transactions, view a BTC price tape, and mark holdings in USD. It does not offer swaps, other coins, NFTs, staking, or an exchange.

Recovery words are created or restored on your device and stored in that device’s Apple Keychain, without iCloud Keychain sync. Sparrow Portofolio Australia does not custody funds and cannot access, recover, replace, reset, freeze, or transfer your bitcoin.

You are solely responsible for securing the device, recovery words, optional passphrase, addresses, transaction amounts, fees, and backups. Anyone who reads the recovery words and any required passphrase can move the bitcoin.

Before broadcasting, verify the destination address, amount, and fee lane. Bitcoin transactions may be irreversible once broadcast. Network conditions, fees, confirmation times, and acceptance are outside our control.

Vault deletion only erases local portfolio materials and cache. It does not cancel or reverse a transaction already on the Bitcoin network.

The BTC price tape and USD holdings mark are informational and may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. They are not an offer, exchange rate guarantee, investment recommendation, tax statement, accounting record, or financial advice.

Bitcoin can be volatile. Use of self-custody software can result in permanent loss if recovery words, a passphrase, a device, or transaction details are mishandled. You are responsible for deciding whether Mainnet Desk and Bitcoin are appropriate and lawful for you. Seek independent financial, tax, and legal advice where needed.

You may use Mainnet Desk only in compliance with applicable law. You must not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, infringe rights, or use it to facilitate unlawful activity.

Mainnet Desk is intended for an App Store age rating of 4+. If local law does not permit you to accept these terms or control bitcoin independently, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms and supervise use. The age rating does not remove legal capacity requirements in your location.

These terms are between you and Sparrow Portofolio Australia, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Mainnet Desk or its content. Your use must also comply with applicable App Store terms.

To the extent required by Apple’s standard App Store terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce the relevant provisions after your acceptance. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Mainnet Desk.

Mainnet Desk may be updated, suspended, or discontinued. Features can change to address security, compatibility, legal, or operational requirements. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, continuous market data, or compatibility with every future device or operating-system version.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mainnet Desk is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees, rights, or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sparrow Portofolio Australia is not liable for loss caused by lost or exposed recovery words, forgotten passphrases, compromised devices, incorrect addresses or amounts, fee selection, public blockchain activity, market movement, network delay, or third-party services. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Australian law applies to these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights that apply where you live.

We may revise these terms and will identify revisions with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply, where permitted by law. For legal or support questions, use the developer contact displayed on the Mainnet Desk App Store listing when that listing becomes available.
