Privacy stays on the device.

This policy applies to Mainnet Desk, a Bitcoin-only, self-custody portfolio app offered by Sparrow Portofolio Australia. It applies to the app on supported Apple devices and to this website.

Mainnet Desk does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or use personal information for tracking or advertising. There is no Mainnet Desk account server, and creating a portfolio does not create an online account with us.

We do not operate analytics, advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking in Mainnet Desk. We do not receive your recovery words, passphrase, private keys, portfolio account, holdings, addresses, or transaction details.

Recovery words are created on your device or entered by you when restoring a portfolio. The recovery words and any optional passphrase are stored in the Apple Keychain on that device.

Mainnet Desk does not sync this information through iCloud Keychain. You are responsible for controlling access to your device and for keeping a separate, secure recovery backup.

The portfolio account and its cache are local to the device. Vault can erase the recovery words, optional passphrase, and on-device cache for that portfolio account.

Deletion from the device cannot delete or reverse information already published to the Bitcoin network. Show and securely preserve the recovery words before erasing if you need to recover the bitcoin later.

When you send bitcoin, Mainnet Desk broadcasts a Bitcoin transaction. Bitcoin transactions and addresses may become permanently visible on the public Bitcoin network. That public record is not controlled by Sparrow Portofolio Australia and cannot be changed or deleted by us.

The app may obtain a BTC price tape to mark holdings in USD. This policy does not claim control over the privacy practices of network or market-data infrastructure outside Mainnet Desk.

Your use of an Apple device, the App Store, the operating system, and Apple Keychain is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Apple may process information independently when you use its services. Mainnet Desk does not receive data that Apple collects independently.

Mainnet Desk is intended for an App Store age rating of 4+. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s device access and any use involving bitcoin.

Mainnet Desk is self-custody software. Sparrow Portofolio Australia does not possess your recovery words or private keys and cannot restore them, freeze funds, block a transaction, or recover bitcoin. Anyone who gains access to the recovery words and any required passphrase may be able to move the bitcoin.

Because Mainnet Desk does not collect personal data or maintain an account server, we generally have no user record to access, correct, export, or delete. For a privacy question or request, use the developer contact displayed on the Mainnet Desk App Store listing when that listing becomes available.

We may update this policy when Mainnet Desk or applicable requirements change. A revised version will show a new effective date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, notice will be provided through an appropriate app or listing update.
