Mainnet Desk keeps the recovery words in this device’s Keychain. There is no account server and no swap.
Twelve or twenty-four words.
Create them on the device, or restore words you already hold. An optional passphrase stays in the Keychain with them. Anyone who reads the words can move the bitcoin.
Receive, then send.
The receive address is native segwit. Send asks for an address, an amount, and a fee lane, then broadcasts. The board marks the holdings in USD against the BTC tape.
The portfolio account can be deleted here.
Vault erases the words, the passphrase, and the on-device cache. It does not reverse a transaction already on the Bitcoin network. Show the words before you erase them.
PRIVACY / DEVICE BOUNDARIES
Keys are created on the device and stored in the Apple Keychain. They are not synced through iCloud Keychain.
There is no account server. Creating a portfolio is local. Vault can erase that portfolio account on the device.
The developer does not custody funds.
